Statement of Faith

SHE BELIEVES there is one God who eternally exists in three distinct persons; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Each person is fully God, yet there is one God. (What does the Bible teach about the Trinity?)

SHE BELIEVES that God the Father is infinite and personal, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, and love, and that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of mankind. He hears and answers prayers, and He saves from sin and death all those who come to Him through the substitutionary atonement of Jesus Christ, God the Son.

SHE BELIEVES that God the Son, Jesus Christ, is the sec­ond per­son of the Trin­i­ty, was miraculously conceived, lived a sinless, perfect life, died a sac­ri­fi­cial death on the cross for the sins of the world, and rose bod­i­ly from the dead, having victory over sin and death, He ascend­ed into Heav­en, and is com­ing again to estab­lish God’s king­dom of right­eous­ness and peace on earth as He promised. He is the only one who can reconcile us to God. Sal­va­tion comes through Jesus alone, not by our works. By His grace and work on the cross, we can go to Heav­en.

SHE BELIEVES that God the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity, came forth from God the Father and God the Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. The Holy Spirit came to regenerate, sanctify and empower for ministry, including the biblical exercise of spiritual gifts, to all who believe in Jesus Christ. We believe in the present ministry of God, the Holy Spirit, who indwells every believer in Jesus Christ, and that He is an abiding helper, teacher, and guide, through whom the Word of God is revealed.

SHE BELIEVES the Bible to be the inspired and inerrant Word of God. Men wrote it under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. God, Himself is the Author. The Bible is the supreme source of truth and instructs our Christian beliefs and daily lives. We place high empha­sis on the teach­ing of God’s Word so that we may grow in our relationship with Him. SHE BELIEVES is part of one Church community, the living spiritual body of which the Lord Jesus Christ is the head. All who are believers in the Lord Jesus Christ are members. While some of our ministry’s team members and sisters in the SheBelieves community can and do belong to church denominations, we are a non-denominational ministry associating with all who are in the Body of Christ. SHE BELIEVES that the Lord Jesus Christ committed two ordinances to the Church: Water Baptism by complete immersion, a testimony of conversion, and the Communion Ceremony to remember His atoning sacrifice for us all. (What is the importance of Christian baptism?)

SHE BELIEVES that God has given different roles to men and women. We, as women, can be in all kinds of ministry. Women should preach the Gospel to the lost; evangelize. Women can lead and teach other women, lead and teach children’s ministries, and be involved in youth ministries, and we can lead in worship. Women can also be prayer warriors and exercise the gifts of the Spirit. There are lots of different ways God uses women. God has given us, as women, strengths that we should use for His glory. SHE BELIEVES that the human race was created as genetic male and genetic female by direct acts of God; God has established that marriage is a sacred covenantal union between one man and one woman for life. According to God’s Word, we also believe that legitimate sexual relations should be exercised solely within marriage. Hence, sexual activities such as, but not limited to, adultery, fornication, incest, polygamy, homosexuality, transgender, bisexuality, cross-dressing, pedophilia, and bestiality are inconsistent with the teachings of the Bible and the Church. Further, lascivious behavior, the creation, viewing, and distribution of pornography, and efforts to alter one’s gender are incompatible with a biblical worldview. SHE BELIEVES that all people are sinners by nature and therefore are under condemnation. We believe that the substitutionary atonement of Jesus Christ is the only means of salvation. We believe that God regenerates and saves those who respond in faith to the Gospel and repent, confessing Jesus Christ as Lord. We also believe in preserving the genuine believer’s place in Christ by God the Holy Spirit. (What is a sinner?)

SHE BELIEVES in the Rapture of the Church, where all believers will meet the Lord Jesus Christ in the air, then be taken out of this world before the Great Tribulation judgments that will come upon the earth. We live in antic­i­pa­tion of the return of Jesus, for He is our blessed hope. (When is the Rapture going to occur in relation to the Tribulation?)

SHE BELIEVES in the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, which is His personal, visible return to earth and the establishment of His Millennial Kingdom. (What is the Second Coming of Jesus Christ?)

SHE BELIEVES in the bodily resurrection of both the saved and the lost to final judgment; where those who are saved unto the resurrection of eternal life with God in a literal Heaven, and where those who are lost unto the resurrection of eternal suffering without God in a literal Hell.
